“Nurture Your Connection To Spirit–
It’s The Key:
People want so many different things in life.
Well, actually… let me take that back… people want more or less the same things in life:
Good health, loving relationships, a soulmate partnership, all earthplane needs met (home, car, food, clothing, money, etc.), an intimate knowledge of their life purpose, work that is in alignment with their life purpose, and just to feel really good on all levels all the time.
Did I leave anything out?
What’s strange is the way many of us try to go about getting all of these needs met.
We may neglect our health, thinking we’re unworthy to take care of ourselves, or that we don’t have the time or money to do so.
We sometimes tolerate relationships that aren’t supportive.
We work a job “just to pay the bills”, feeling at some level that when we (someday) make enough money and save up enough vacation time, we’ll invest in that spiritual retreat to really get to know ourselves and to connect with the deepest longings and truest intentions of our hearts.
If only we had the health, the support, the money, the time to do this deep spiritual work. We know our lives would feel much more fulfilling.
I want to suggest to you that we can sometimes have our priorities backwards. We mistakenly believe that what we can see defines who we are, rather than knowing that life is lived from the inside out.
The quality and clarity of our spiritual connection actually IS the quality of our lives.
If God/Goddess/Source is the Creator of all things, and, as many sacred scriptures claim, “all that God created was Good”, then it just makes logical sense that when we open to a relationship with this Creative Presence, and nurture that relationship through spiritual practice, that our lives will work more in harmony with the fundamental Good by which we were created.
But how many of us try to reverse the law of cause and effect?
“When I have the money, then I’ll invest in my spiritual connection. When I have time off from my job, then I’ll invest in my spiritual connection.”
If I suggested to you that you would have to wait for something to change in your life circumstance before you could fit “breathing” into your schedule, you of course would think I was crazy.
But think about this in spiritual terms…. the Energy that created you loves you. It actually IS One with you in this moment.
Having a clear connection to this Source Energy actually IS the fulfillment of every desire and the solution to every seeming problem.
Through lifetimes of forgetfulness and distraction, we have gotten caught up in the world of “effect”.
We say things like “my job needs to change in order for me to make more money”, when in Reality, we need to go to Source Energy and open our hearts to the next stage of our soul’s unfoldment.
After we have caught such a vision, then the doors of increased soul work and money will be opened automatically in front of our eyes.
We say things like “when my health improves, then I’ll have time for all this spiritual stuff”, when in Reality, the Source that created you has the energetic solutions and healing energy already ready to be given to heal your dis-ease.
It also has the inspiration that will show you the path of healing that is best for you.
But you can only hear the guidance and you can only see the vision when you have invested first in your spiritual connection, and cleared that connection—then you will live life from a co-creative perspective, living life from one inspired moment to the next, as Source leads you through “green pastures” that restore your soul.
My suggestion to you?
Try one thing right now that will show Source that you are serious about your priorities–that you are ready to have even a little bit of faith that there is a loving Presence ready to assist you in any and all areas of challenge in your life right now.
What one thing could you do to invest in your spiritual connection? Here are a few suggestions:
- go out in nature and talk to the angels–offer gratitude for all the blessings you already have
- spend a few moments in meditation
- spend a few moments in conscious breathing, focused on your heart center
- read a chapter from a favorite spiritual book
- break out that angel oracle deck and do a reading for yourself
- pray—just speak out loud to your angels, to God, or to the Universe, and talk about the transformation you desire
- tithe—especially if you are feeling financially stuck, give money to a person or organization that represents a channel of spiritual connection to you— this is different than charity giving (which is also good)
- give a service to someone in need— offer even a small portion of your talent and time to someone who could benefit–this practice will show the Universe that you trust that when you give, you will also receive”

The Science of Random Acts of Kindness
Studies show that Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) has a positive effect on your health, well-being and psychosocial function. Further, it indicates that RAK are beneficial to your hormonal system.
For example, when you give someone a gift, studies show that a person’s hormone DHEA increases. It works for both the giver and receiver. (This only works when the person is open to receiving and both people do not experience guilt or negative emotions regarding the giving. If that is the case, it will have the opposite effect on the body. So it is important to discern, without judgment, who to give to.)
As we age, our hormone levels, including DHEA, decrease. The hormone DHEA helps us to feel better, look younger and maintain our sex drive.
Your body naturally produces the hormone DHEA, or dehydroepiandrosterone. DHEA is classified as an endogenous hormone, and serves as a precursor to the sex hormones, androgens and estrogens. As a person ages, the body’s natural production of DHEA declines. Certain disorders, such as kidney disease, osteoporosis, depression, type 2 diabetes, and anorexia have also been associated with low levels of DHEA.
Because of this, the hormone is often taken as a supplement to control various diseases. A simpler solution is to offer someone a RAK because it will increase a person’s level of DHEA. According to science, it will help you both feel better and look younger!

Some people believe that if something is free, it has no value. I do not subscribe to this belief. Some of the best healing sessions I have ever experienced have been free and I am so grateful to the person kind enough to help me.
I have always been taught to tithe 10% of my income and/or services. And somehow, I always end up with a new client afterward, or something good and unexpected comes to me.
Statistically speaking, the most successful people in the world tithe 7-10% of their income. Even the best lawyers in the world do a certain amount of pro-bono work.
That said, I can tell you I had one of the best healing sessions from a woman named Linda Shay. She connects people with the healing frequencies of dolphins. After my session with her I had an amazing vivid vision of swimming with dolphins in another dimension and have felt connected to dolphins in a very powerful way since my session.
I choose to believe that free gifts come from the heart and are a loving gift from God. All one must do is be willing to be open to receive and not judge it for being free.
Linda offers free dolphin healing sessions every Thursday. For more information, see below and click on the link:

Love is the source of all creation. It is the consciousness that actually forms the created universe, dimensions and worlds that we live in. Love is a particular vibration of consciousness that, when it is between humans, holds people to people in all relationships. Without love, marriage is just a shell and will usually break. Sometimes a marriage will stay together for the sake of the children, but it is still love, the love for the children, that holds the marriage together. We may have other reasons to continue a relationship without love, but it is never the same as true love. Love is the bond that is stronger than any other. People will do anything for love, even die for love.
Love is the exact vibration that matter responds to. What that means is that we have a great power to create and the energy and vibration of love can attract many positive outcomes. Love can do all things. Love can heal yourself and others. It is love and love alone that can heal the world. Speaking of healing without love is NOT speaking the truth. In medicine, only certain things are possible. But with love, all things are possible. With love, the incurable disease is nothing but light, and the atoms of the body can be re-formed into perfect health. The absence of love is the source of all disease, for it is love that binds matter into order out of chaos, and without love, chaos will always ensure.
Healing takes place only when love is present!
It does not matter what healing modality you choose, Medical Doctors, Reiki Masters, Sound Healers, Shamans, etc., if love is not present, the healing will not be effective. There is a Christ Chakra above the heart chakra, just above the sternum which is the primary chakra of universal unconditional love. So whatever healing techniques a person uses is of little importance. The technique is simply a personal preference and provides structure for the mind of that person to focus on, but the REAL healing comes from the love that healer is giving to the person being healed.
Healing people, healing villages or healing the entire planet is all the same. The only difference is simply the greater the degree of love. The mind has the knowledge to manipulate matter, but love has the power to not only manipulate matter, but to effortlessly create matter from nothing. No matter what the problem is that needs to be healed, love can always find a way. True love has no limits.
What is the reason we do not trust in the power of love? It is the mind that limits this understanding that love can heal all things. What we believe to be true is always our limitation. If a doctor tells us that a certain disease in incurable and we believe it, we cannot heal ourselves. We get frozen or stuck in that belief. We then live out that belief even if it means pain, suffering or death. Only a miracle, something much greater than ourselves can overcome a frozen belief. So it is our minds that can prevent a healing. When our minds (and beliefs) are in control and not our hearts, we will almost always suffer.
What you believe to be true is always your limitation. If you do not believe in limitations, you are free.
So what’s love got to do with it? ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!!!!!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. With love, Savannah
“Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.” Mark Twain
“Here are a few positive affirmations from Christ’s Letters… these are great lessons to follow regardless of the phase in your life.*”
“The loyalty, kindness and generosity you would like to receive when in trouble – give to others when they are struggling with heavy burdens. Never turn to them a cold shoulder.”
“Give acceptance and forgiveness you would like to receive. What is true forgiveness? It is a state of understanding the other person and their reasons for their behavior so clearly that you can say in all honesty – there is nothing to forgive.”
“If someone wants to tell you how you have hurt them at any time – stand or sit still quietly and know that this is a true challenge to your ego-drive. This is your big moment – your greatest testing-point. How will you handle it? Will you make excuses and defend yourself, considering, even saying, that your actions should not have hurt the other person – and were fully justified in the circumstances? If this is how you respond, then your ego-drive is still in perfect control of your consciousness.”
*I read these quotes from the following blog which originally come from Christ’s Letters:
Most world religions include teachings on the nature of forgiveness, and many of these teachings provide an underlying basis for many varying modern day traditions and practices of forgiveness. Some religious doctrines or philosophies place greater emphasis on the need for humans to find some sort of divine forgiveness for their own shortcomings, others place greater emphasis on the need for humans to practice forgiveness of one another, yet others make little or no distinction between human and divine forgiveness.
In my last post, I shared information about a powerful little prayer called Ho’oponopono. The article below is a true story about how one man used the prayer to transform murderers, rapists and violent criminals.
If this prayer could help heal mentally ill criminals, imagine what it could do for you!
I am sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you.
How Dr. Hew Len healed a ward of mentally ill criminals with Ho’oponopono
“More than thirty years ago, in Hawaii, at the Hawaii State Hospital, there was a special ward, a clinic for the mentally ill criminals. People who had committed extremely serious crimes were assigned there either because they had a very deep mental disorder or because they needed to be checked to see if they were sane enough to stand trial. They had committed murder, rape, kidnapping or other such crimes. According to a nurse that worked there in those years, the place was so bleak that not even the paint could stick to the walls; everything was decaying, terrifying, repulsive. No day would pass without a patient-inmate attacking another inmate or a member of the staff.
The people working there were so frightened that they would walk close to the walls if they saw an inmate coming their way in a corridor, even though they were all shackled, all the time –but more than once this wouldn’t stop an aggression. The inmates would never be brought outside to get fresh air because of their relentlessly threatening attitude. The scarcity of staff was a chronic occurrence. Nurses, wardens, employees would prefer to be on sick-leave most of the time in order not to confront such a depressive and dangerous environment.
Dr. Hew Len, the Teacher of Ho’oponopono
Enters Dr. Hew Len
One day, a newly appointed clinical psychologist, a Dr. Stanley Hew Len, arrived at the ward. The nurses rolled their eyes, bracing themselves for one more guy that was going to bug them with new theories and proposals to fix the horrid situation, who would walk away as soon as things became unpleasant, around a month later, usually. However, this new doctor wouldn’t do anything like that. Actually he didn’t seem to be doing anything in particular, except just coming in and being always cheerful and smiling, in a very natural, relaxed way. He wasn’t even particularly early in arriving every morning. From time to time he would ask for the files of the inmates.
He never tried to see them personally, though. Apparently he just sat in an office, looked at their files, and to members of the staff who showed an interest he would tell them about a weird thing called Ho’oponopono. Little by little things started to change in the hospital. One day somebody would try again to paint those walls and they actually stayed painted, making the environment more palatable. The gardens started being taken care of, some tennis courts were repaired and some prisoners that up until then would never be allowed to go outside started playing tennis with the staff. Other prisoners would be allowed not to be shackled any more, or would receive less heavy pharmacological drugs. Every day more and more obtained permission to go outside unshackled, without causing trouble to the hospital’s employees.
In the end, the atmosphere changed so much that the staff was not on sick leave any more. Actually, more people than needed wished now to work there. Prisoners started gradually to be released. Dr. Hew Len worked there close to four years. In the end, there remained only a couple of inmates that were relocated somewhere else and the clinic for the mentally insane criminals had to close.
“It’s about a doctor who emptied a ward for mentally insane criminals in a couple of years, just saying a few words to himself.”
What did Dr. Hew Len do to the patients, how did he treat them that the results were so spectacular? He didn’t do anything. Not a thing to them nor with them, except looking at their files. He only tried to heal himself, applying an old, traditional community problem-solving system from Hawaii, called Ho’oponopono, adapted to individuals by his Teacher, the late Hawaiian sage Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona. And what was he doing to himself? In his own words: “I was simply healing the part of me that created them”.
Actually, he used to sit in his office and look at the patients’ files. While perusing them, he would feel something, a pain, an empathy. Then he started the healing on himself, taking full responsibility for what was going on with a given patient. That’s how those people got better, because their doctor had the strange view that it was himself who needed the healing, not them.
Simply put, Ho’oponopono is based on the knowledge that anything that happens to you or that you perceive, the entire world where you live is your own creation and thus, it is entirely your responsibility—one hundred percent, no exceptions.
Your boss is a tyrant? It’s your responsibility. Your children are not good students? It’s your responsibility. There are wars and you feel bad because you are a good person, a pacifist? The war is your responsibility. You see that children around the world are hungry and malnourished if not starving? Their want is your responsibility. No exceptions. Literally, the world is your world, it is your creation. As Dr. Hew Len points out: didn’t you notice that whenever you experience a problem you are there?
It’s your responsibility doesn’t mean it’s your fault, it means that you are responsible for healing yourself in order to heal whatever or whoever it is that appears to you as a problem.
It might sound crazy, or just plain metaphorical, that the world is your creation. But if you look carefully, you will realize that whatever you call the world and perceive as the world is your world, it is the projection of your own mind. If you go to a party you can see how in the same place, with the same light, the same people, the same food, drink, music and atmosphere, some will enjoy themselves while others will be bored, some will be overenthusiastic and some depressed, some will be talkative and others will be silent. The “out there” for every one of them seems the same, but if one were to connect their brains to machines immediately it would show how different areas of the brain would come alive, how different perceptions there are from one person to the next. So even if they apparently share it, the “out there” is not the same for them, let alone their inner world, their emotions.
How do you heal yourself with Ho’oponopono? Three steps: by recognizing that whatever comes to you is your creation, the outcome of bad memories buried in your mind; by regretting whatever errors of body, speech and mind caused those bad memories, and by requesting Divine Intelligence within yourself to release those memories, to set you free. Then, of course, you say thank You.
I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I love You. Thank You.
That we can obtain big things from Ho’oponopono has already been shown: the healing of an entire ward of insane criminals seems far more difficult a task than any of our personal troubles. There are, no doubt, piles of testimonies from practitioners. Dr. Hew Len says, however: this is not fast food. The cleaning of memories requires a lot of concentration and persistence and is an unending job. But the result is what he calls Zero Limits, a state where one is free from the past, and suffused with Divine Intelligence and love.”
One of the most important prayers you can say is, “God, please teach me to have right-minded thoughts.” Do this on a regular basis and you will be amazed at how your life will change for the better.
I learned this from A Course in Miracles.
You can modify the statement and make it be more specific by saying:
“God, please teach me to have right-minded thoughts about health.”
“God, please teach me to have right-minded thoughts about prosperity.”
“God, please teach me to have right-minded thoughts about love.”
…or insert anything else that you want to experience.
We are co-creators with God and it is important to not just expect miracles to instantly pop into existence. Instead, God works through us and miracles come about by us having proper thoughts about what it is we want. Our thoughts are electromagnetic energy and have the power to manifest into reality. Everything ever invented was first a thought.
The ultimate goal is for us to be self-sufficient and not have to depend on Higher Beings or anyone else for assistance. It is similar to us wanting our children to grow up and be independent without always coming to us for help because they know they are perfectly talented and capable of managing their own lives.
The Course of Miracles deals with Universal Spiritual themes.

There are 365 lessons, here is an example of the first one:
Nothing I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place] means anything.
Now look slowly around you, and practice applying this idea very specifically to whatever you see:
This table does not mean anything.
This chair does not mean anything.
This hand does not mean anything.
This foot does not mean anything.
This pen does not mean anything.
Then look farther away from your immediate area, and apply the idea to a wider range:
That door does not mean anything.
That body does not mean anything.
That lamp does not mean anything.
That sign does not mean anything.
That shadow does not mean anything.
Notice that these statements are not arranged in any order, and make no allowance for differences in the kinds of things to which they are applied. That is the purpose of the exercise. The statement should merely be applied to anything you see. As you practice the idea for the day, use it totally indiscriminately. Do not attempt to apply it to everything you see, for these exercises should not become ritualistic. Only be sure that nothing you see is specifically excluded. One thing is like another as far as the application of the idea is concerned.
This lesson should not be done more than twice a day each, preferably morning and evening. Nor should it be attempted for more than a minute or so, unless that entails a sense of hurry. A comfortable sense of leisure is essential.
How It Came into Being
In 1977 in response to many requests for a brief introduction to A Course in Miracles, Helen Schucman wrote the following, which appears as the Preface to the Course. The first two parts: “How It Came” and “What It Is,” Helen wrote herself. The final part, “What It Says,” she scribed through the process of inner dictation.
A Course in Miracles began with the sudden decision of two people to join in a common goal. Their names were Helen Schucman and William Thetford, Professors of Medical Psychology at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. They were anything but spiritual. Their relationship with each other was difficult and often strained, and they were concerned with personal and professional acceptance and status. In general, they had considerable investment in the values of the world. Their lives were hardly in accord with anything that the Course advocates. Helen, the one who received the material, describes herself:
“Psychologist, educator, conservative in theory and atheistic in belief, I was working in a prestigious and highly academic setting. And then something happened that triggered a chain of events I could never have predicted. The head of my department unexpectedly announced that he was tired of the angry and aggressive feelings our attitudes reflected, and concluded that, ‘there must be another way.’ As if on cue I agreed to help him find it. Apparently this Course is the other way.”
Although their intention was serious, they had great difficulty in starting out on their joint venture. But they had given the Holy Spirit the “little willingness” that, as the Course itself was to emphasize again and again, is sufficient to enable Him to use any situation for His purposes and provide it with His power.
